Pop Culture and Politics: A Brief Overview

It's election season. Everywhere in sight are glorious banners doused in colors of patriotism and freedom, presenting and representing men and women who indubitably stand for things like, "courage", "freedom", "liberty", "leadership", etc., etc. I'm sure most young adults who will vote couldn't recite any fact of any candidate for any position nor any proposition on the ballot. Surely, they could tell you their laundry list of booze intake and their abysmal opinion whatever mindless, dog shit "reality" show they live vicariously through. Also, while we're at it, don't forget their lame and lackluster attempts at replicating such a drawn out and out of reach life style.

At any rate, the typical person is completely oblivious to anything of relative importance to them such as being a contributing member of society outside of feeding the system with DUI charges, parking tickets and the likes. Sadly one cannot be charged for being a detrimental stain for the well being of humanity. Of course, not everyone is as terrible as I make them out to be. If they're not any of the above or lack the sense of modesty in their being, they're a loud mouthed, political raving asshole who's just as heinous as the evangelical hypocrites that surprisingly haven't been firebombed.

As far as politics go, hopefully this is the first and last post about it.
